There is no place for Federico Macheda in David Moyes near future plans as he already has the likes of: Wayne Rooney, Van Persie, Welbeck, Hernandez and Juan Mata at his disposal for selection and another forward is not what the Scottish coach is in need.
Since signing with Manchester United back in 2008, the Italian forward has made 19 appearances for the club but has enjoyed more time playing out on loan to different clubs as he has already been featured for Sampdoria, QPR, Stuttgart, Doncaster Rovers and the latest one that he joined on a loan deal is Birmingham City.
Federico Macheda expressed his emotion after completing his move to his new club, Birmingham City as the Italian player considers that move to be his best choice.
“This is a good club with a massive support, it’s a young team as well met the manager a few months ago, he made a good impression on me, it’s important to go to a club where I knew what I was going to do.
“It was the choice I made and I think it’s the best one. Yes, I could’ve gone back to Italy – but I won’t tell you the name of the team!
“I had the chance. But my priority was to stay in England, I love this country. I love football here. I’ve been here for seven years now, there’s no better place to play than in England.”
Even though Federico Macheda completed his loan deal to Birmingham City some weeks ago, the head coach of the club is still impressed by the talent that the young player has to offer.
“He came to the fore when he was young, he smashes one in against Villa in a high-profile game, and they are the aspects you have to deal with. There’s no doubting his talent. There’s no doubting what he is about. So we will just try and get the best out of him.”
