Federico Macheda Signed Three-Year Deal With Panathinaikos

Striker who burst on stage as a teenager in the Premier League has struggled to maintain the early heights, but has now had a chance in Greece. The former Manchester United star Federico Macheda has got the chance to revive his career by Panathinaikos. Italian striker Macheda performed on stage in stunning style when he scored a brilliant goal for his United debut as a teenager.

The Roman forward was just 17 get out of the bench to produce a moment of magic to turn his defender and rifled home a late winner in the Premier League clash with Aston Villa. He spent the next two years on the edge of the British troupe without being able to repeat the heroes whom the supporters hoped to have seen them pamper a new star of the future. The club sent him out on a number of pages at home and abroad to help him develop his game with regular first football.

FEDERICO MACHEDA SEEKING FRESH START

Former Manchester United player Federico Macheda is seeking a fresh start as his deal with Italian side Novara Calcio 1908 ends on June 30, 2018. The player was condemned to playing with the Italian football outfit when he could not get any top club to employ him. Since Cardiff released the player following a loan spell at Nottingham Forest in 2016, Macheda has not been able to get a notable side to take a chance on him.

Macheda came through Manchester United’s youth system but he could not quite get a permanent shirt. He went on several loan spells that includes QPR, Stuggart, Doncaster Rovers and Birmingham before he left Old Trafford on a free deal to Cardiff.

MACHEDA REVEALS HIS WORST EVER MISTAKE

Federico Macheda says not listening to one piece of Sir Alex Ferguson advice turned out to be the worst mistake of his life. The Italian had the world at his feet when he scored against Aston Villa but it all went very wrong from then onwards.

In 2009, Federico Macheda scored a late goal in Man United’s 3-2 win over Aston Villa to put them top of the Premier League.
