FEDERICO MACHEDA: SAMPDORIA CAREER EXAMINED

Italian striker Federico Macheda was already a known name when he signed for Sampdoria on loan in his native Italy. He was at Manchester United when he left to join Sampdoria.Macheda became a wonderkidat Manchester United when he came off the bench as an unknown quantity to rescue the team from the jaws of defeat during a Premier League home game against Aston Villa in April 2009.

Federico Macheda came off the bench to score the winning goal late in the game as Manchester United came from behind to beat Aston Villa 3-2 at home. His goal proved to be the catalyst needed by Manchester United as they won the Premier League title at the end of the season ahead of arch rivals and nearest challenger Liverpool. It was the third successive Premier League title for the Sir Alex Ferguson-led Manchester United team.

MACHEDA REVEALS SNUBBED GESTURE FROM RONALDO

Panathinaikos striker Federico Macheda has revealed how he snubbed a kind gesture from Cristiano Ronaldo during his Manchester United days. The Italian striker stated this in an interview he granted to Calciomercatothree years ago. Federico Macheda told the Italian publication how he respectfully turned down the champagne bottle given to Ronaldo as the man-of-the-match for his debut game against Aston Villa at Old Trafford since he had one.

Federico Macheda rose to fame after he came off the bench to score the winning goal for Manchester United in a difficult home game against Villa with Liverpool breathing down their necks in the race for the Premier League title. MACHEDA: CARDIFF CITY CAREER EXAMINED

Federico Macheda joined Cardiff City after he was released by Manchester United where he burst onto the scene. The Italian striker stunned the world of football when he came off the bench to rescue Manchester United from the jaws of defeat at the hands of visitors Aston Villa. Federico Macheda played a big part for the Red Devils as they finished ahead of arch rivals Liverpool to win the Premier League title at the end of the 2008/09 campaign.

Macheda was subbed on in the second half with Manchester United trailing 2-1 at home to Villa. Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo scored the equaliser for Manchester United before Italian player Federico Macheda scored the winning goal in added time to give the Red Devils a 3-2 victory over Villa in April 2009. The result ensured that the Red Devils returned to winning ways after two straight defeats had threatened to derail their Premier League title bid. Federico Macheda scored the winning goal in the next league game as well as he played his part in helping the Red Devils to the Premier League trophy as a teenager.

Macheda had burst onto the Premier League scene as a teenage striker at Manchester United and the world was at his feet afterwards but he was unable to take the opportunity. The Italian striker played a major role in seeing the Red Devils over the line as regards the 2008/09 Premier League title.

FEDERICO MACHEDA: SERIE A CAREER UNVEILED

Italian striker Federico Macheda started his career in the Lazio youth setup but the player didn’t make any appearance for the senior team before he left for Manchester United. The 29-year-old started his football career professionally at Manchester United and he made an early impact at the club. Big things were expected but Federico Macheda was not able to fulfill those expectations. Federico Macheda was sent on loan to Sampdoria in the Italian Serie A after the player requested for the move. He left Manchester United to sign for Sampdoria on loan in January 2011 and the Italian attacker has admitted that it was a wrong move. Federico Macheda rued his decision to return to Italy in one of his recent interviews. He didn’t score any goal in 14 league games for Sampdoria during his time at the club.Sampdoria saw Federico Macheda as the man to replace Antonio Cassano at Sampdoria after the Italian international left the club to sign for AC Milan. Macheda was unable to replace Antonio Cassano adequately. His debut for Sampdoriacame in the 2-1 win over AS Roma. He came on as a substitute during that game with the club based in the Italian capital of Rome.

FEDERICO MACHEDA: CLUB CAREER PATH REVEALED

Italian striker Federico Macheda is a classic example of a football journeyman having played for ten clubs professionally but he has been able to enjoy a stable club career at Panathinaikos in the Greek top flight. He has been performing well for Panathinaikos since signing for them in 2018. Federico Macheda started his career in the Lazio Academy before he was signed by Premier League giants Manchester United in 2007.

He spent the majority of his debut season at Manchester United with the club’s academy before he made his first team bow to good effect towards the end of that season. He wrote his name in lights when he came off the bench to rescue Manchester United against Aston Villa at home in the Premier League. Federico Macheda scored the winning goal in a 3-2 win and that victory was  crucial to Manchester United winning the league title that season ahead of arch rivals Liverpool. MACHEDA REVEALS FERGUSON CONTACT YEARS LATER

Panathinaikos striker Federico Macheda has revealed that legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson called him last year to check on his well-being. Federico Macheda made a big break as an unknown youngster under Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United but he was unable to sustain it as his professional football career embarked on a downward slope until he found consistency in Greece in the colours of Panathinaikos.

Italian player Federico Macheda stunned the Premier League as a 17-year-old attacker when he scored the winning goal for the Red Devils in a tough league match at home to Aston Villa. Manchester United were in serious danger of losing their lead at the Premier League summit with Rafael Benitez and Liverpool closing in on the Old Trafford giants after two successive league defeat. MACHEDA THRIVING IN LATEST CHAPTER OF CAREER

The story of Federico Macheda career has been talked about in different circles across the football world about a player that appeared to have the world at his feet before falling away. Ten years ago the Italian scored a goal that appeared to transform his career.

FEDERICO MACHEDA CAREER 9 YEARS AFTER THAT GOAL.

On the 5th of April 2009, Manchester United faced Aston Villa in a key League game for the title. With United 2-1 down Sir Alex Ferguson turned to an unknown 17 year old from the bench at the hour mark in what would be the most decisive substitution of the season.

United made it 2-2 with an equalizer from Cristiano Ronaldo and with a few minutes left in the game a legend was born. The 17-year-old took the ball and expertly curled it out of the hands of a diving Brad Friedel and United went on to win the title.

United should have waited

Former Manchester United forward Federico Macheda believes that the Red Devils should have waited a bit longer before sacking Jose Mourinho. He said that this is one of the best managers in the world you are talking about and that he does not deserve to be sack. He said that this is true when you know that the club has refused to back him in the transfer market.

Federico Macheda said that Jose Mourinho was right at the beginning of the season when he said that Manchester United will be facing a difficult season after he did not get the players that he wanted. The former Manchester United forward believes that the club should have given him more time to turn things around before replacing him.
