Macheda has left Cardiff City

Cardiff City has revealed that FredericoMacheda has left the team after mutual agreement.

The player still had 12 months left on his contract and both parties feel that it will be better that the contract is ended.

Macheda who previously played for Manchester United was touted to become a world class player. Indeed he made a great start to his Manchester United career by scoring a goal against Aston Villa. Unfortunately for him, things did not really work out for him at Old Trafford, and he ended up being sold to Cardiff.

Prior to his move to Cardiff City, he had several loan stints at different clubs but failed to establish himself at any club. He went on loan at Nottingham Forest earlier this year and again failed to secure a place in the first team.

He returned to Cardiff City only to find his contract ended with 12 months left on his contract. He has managed to make 27 appearances for the club and scored 6 goals during the process. A statement released by the club has thanked the player for all his contribution to the team and has wished him all the best for the remaining part of his career.

Macheda has stated that he does not regret the decision and that he is currently considering the other offers that have come his way. He said that he could develop into a good player if he is given the proper structure to develop. He stated that it is unfortunate that he could not adapt to the playing style at Cardiff City as they seem to be a good club.

He has thanked the fans and the club in general for the support they have given him and hope that he will be able to repay them in one way or another in the future.
