Andre Silva insists he remains an AC Milan player ahead of the summer

Portuguese striker Andre Silva has said that he remains an AC Milan player ahead of this summer’s transfer window. The marksman joined Sevilla on a season-long loan last summer with the option to buy, but his mixed relationship with the Spanish club has meant that he could be heading back to the Rossoneri.

Silva has recently been receiving treatment for a left knee injury but his decision to make himself available for the Nations League finals with Portugal seems to have angered the Sevilla board. Speaking to A Bola, the Portuguese indicated that he could not do much to help Sevilla’s cause in the past few months due to his knee problem.

MACHEDA THRIVING IN LATEST CHAPTER OF CAREER

The story of Federico Macheda career has been talked about in different circles across the football world about a player that appeared to have the world at his feet before falling away. Ten years ago the Italian scored a goal that appeared to transform his career.

With United chasing the Premier League title Macheda had been informed by Sir Alex Ferguson that he would be in the first team squad for the clash against Aston Villa. This was on the back of the forward bagging a hattrick for the reserve team against Newcastle.

FEDERICO MACHEDA CAREER 9 YEARS AFTER THAT GOAL.

On the 5th of April 2009, Manchester United faced Aston Villa in a key League game for the title. With United 2-1 down Sir Alex Ferguson turned to an unknown 17 year old from the bench at the hour mark in what would be the most decisive substitution of the season.

United made it 2-2 with an equalizer from Cristiano Ronaldo and with a few minutes left in the game a legend was born. The 17-year-old took the ball and expertly curled it out of the hands of a diving Brad Friedel and United went on to win the title.

United should have waited

Former Manchester United forward Federico Macheda believes that the Red Devils should have waited a bit longer before sacking Jose Mourinho. He said that this is one of the best managers in the world you are talking about and that he does not deserve to be sack. He said that this is true when you know that the club has refused to back him in the transfer market.

Federico Macheda said that Jose Mourinho was right at the beginning of the season when he said that Manchester United will be facing a difficult season after he did not get the players that he wanted. The former Manchester United forward believes that the club should have given him more time to turn things around before replacing him.

dArsenal needs new defenders

Former Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue believes that the Gunners need to recruit new defenders during the January transfer window. He said that the team needs reinforcement at the back and that this is an area of the team that needs significant investment.

He said that Arsenal has made some genuine progress since Unai Emery has taken over as the coach but he feels that they need to strengthen at the back. He said that the team has suffered numerous injuries in this department and that the manager should find a solution to help the team at the back.

AMNESTY WARNS FIFA AGAINST EXPANDING WORLD CUP

Rights group Amnesty International has fired a warning to FIFA, football’s governing body against their plans of expanding the Qatar 2022 World Cup to neighboring countries like Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), raising concerns over human rights in the Gulf nations, according to a British source.

In a statement to the British online publication, The Independent on Saturday, the rights group based in the United Kingdom insists that any plans to expand the prestigious tournament, originally planned to be hosted by Qatar, must come with a call for both countries to improve their human rights records.

Striker who burst on stage as a teenager in the Premier League has struggled to maintain the early heights, but has now had a chance in Greece. The former Manchester United star Federico Macheda has got the chance to revive his career by Panathinaikos. Italian striker Macheda performed on stage in stunning style when he scored a brilliant goal for his United debut as a teenager.

The Roman forward was just 17 get out of the bench to produce a moment of magic to turn his defender and rifled home a late winner in the Premier League clash with Aston Villa. He spent the next two years on the edge of the British troupe without being able to repeat the heroes whom the supporters hoped to have seen them pamper a new star of the future. The club sent him out on a number of pages at home and abroad to help him develop his game with regular first football.

Andreas Pereira: I am very lucky to have Michael Carrick as a coach

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has revealed the delight of working under new coach Michael Carrick. The former England international retired from the game following the Premier League closer against Watford last term and he has since joined Jose Mourinho’s backroom staff, where he has been offering pieces of advice.

Speaking to reporters, Pereira spoke positively about the influence of Carrick and said that the Englishman has helped him define the strengths and weaknesses to his game, he quipped: “He gives me advice all the time, he’s very good for me and always tells me what to do and helps me in training, if I do something wrong he tells me and even if I do something good he will tell me as well. He played in that exact same position, so it’s very easy to learn off him and if he tells you something it’s so easy to pick it up because you understand it straight away. So I’m very lucky he’s there for me.”

FEDERICO MACHEDA SEEKING FRESH START

Former Manchester United player Federico Macheda is seeking a fresh start as his deal with Italian side Novara Calcio 1908 ends on June 30, 2018. The player was condemned to playing with the Italian football outfit when he could not get any top club to employ him. Since Cardiff released the player following a loan spell at Nottingham Forest in 2016, Macheda has not been able to get a notable side to take a chance on him.

Macheda came through Manchester United’s youth system but he could not quite get a permanent shirt. He went on several loan spells that includes QPR, Stuggart, Doncaster Rovers and Birmingham before he left Old Trafford on a free deal to Cardiff.
