Even when fully recovered, Macheda doesn’t play a key role

Federico Macheda got back into fitness and was fully recovered back in November of 2015 but even though he is more than ready to play, the Italian player has failed to land any important role in Cardiff City.

When Macheda did manage to get back in shape, he expressed his happiness in being able to return to the pitch as the former Manchester United player said:
“Personally, I’m feeling good.

I had my operation around 12 weeks ago now and finally I’m through it and feeling great. I’m looking forward to getting even fitter and contributing to the team. I had a run-out with the development team ahead of getting out in front of the fans for a few minutes against Burnley. It’s always a great feeling getting back after injury. I was very pleased with that’’ This was the statement that was released by Macheda a few months ago.

Unfortunately for Macheda even though he is fully recovered and eager to play, he doesn’t play an important role in Cardiff City and considering that he has only managed to score 8 goals in 30 appearances, Russell Slade has lost his faith in the young Italian.
The question that emerges now is which club he will be joining in case of the very likely departure from Cardiff City. The Championship League side club Bristol City is the club that is being rumored on attempting to sign Federico Macheda as they are currently positioned in the relegation zone of the 2nd tier English League and are in need of some attacking reinforcements but it will be a huge gamble as Macheda is a player who has continuously been fighting with injuries.

At the age of 24, Federico Macheda pretty much has his entire career lying ahead of him which is plenty of time left for him to kick-start his career back to life but this will depend on whether or not he manages to end his injury nightmare and on how he is able to perform in the next club that Macheda decides to join.
